Trip Davis was the unanimous selection for the 2007 DCR Triathlete of the Year. In his first full triathlon season, Trip entered three races and placed no worst than third in each race, coming in first in the Charlottesville Sprint Triathlon. Trip was a true leader when it came to training, never missing sessions and always arriving on time. Trip pioneered the Farmington International Distance triathlon and was responsible for mapping out the Farmington to Free Union ride for which he still holds the record. Trip is also a founding member of the team and continues to push for its members to seek greater challenges and go further with their training. He is a friend to all and a wonderful training partner.
